What to Expect

Going any place for the first time can be unnerving. We want, as best as we can, to put you at ease. At Re:imago, we take hospitality and welcome seriously, and that begins by letting you know what to expect when you come for the first time. If you have any questions that aren’t answered here, please give us a call, text, or send us an email. We’d be happy to talk to you about your specific questions.

Honey, let’s talk about what you’re wearing…you look fabulous! As long as you’ve covered up your Garden of Eden bits, you’re welcomed here (and not that you should be ashamed of any part of you, but you know the law says you have to wear clothes in public). Seriously, though, we don’t care what you wear when you come to Re:imago, we’re just glad you’re here. We are much more concerned about the state of your heart than we are your wardrobe - whether that is Gucci or Goodwill. The people you meet here will be wearing all variety of things, from business casual to casual casual. We believe you can experience heart changing worship in a three piece suit, a couture gown, or pajamas with the word “PINK” writ large across the outhouse panel.

In addition to being welcome in what you are wearing, you are welcome as you are. We want to take Jesus seriously and it is hard to do that when we are taking ourselves too seriously. We believe that grace is what matters in our worship and the way we treat one another. Expect to be welcomed, to be spoken to, but also feel free to let us know if you think we’re talking to you too much! We are interested in you, but not in a creepy way! Come, be a part of what is happening here, and be yourself.

our liturgical framework

Most of our worship services are built on a rhythm of opening our hearts and lifting them to God and then finding them filled throughout the worship service. We gather, encounter God as we are centered, and then prepare to leave and be the presence of Christ in the world as a continuing act of worship. The format for our worship service is as follows:
