About us
our vision
Re:imago is a community born out of a desire to focus on the One who unites us rather than the things that divide us. We believe God’s grand ambition is to see all the world redeemed and restored and that God does that through authentic community. We are seeking to be such a place. We believe all humans are made in the image of God and therefore all are welcome here. Of course, many faith communities say something similar, so we want to be specific about what we mean:
Are you one of the following: young, old, avoiding middle age but your back hurts more than it used to, low in melanin, high in melanin, don’t know what melanin is, tattooed with sleeves, afraid of needles, a teetotaler, a person in recovery, a person who should be in recovery, released from prison, narrowly avoided prison, never broken the law, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, never voted, dog lover, cat lover, ferret owner, fish feeder, hunter, gatherer, male, female, prefer not to say, straight, gay, bi, trans, transitioning, uncomfortable with the change in the world, can’t wait for the world to change more, confused, certain, hopeless, hopeful, atheist, agnostic, theist, evangelical, enamored with the teachings of the Buddha, prefer to read the Torah in the original Hebrew, working on your dharma, divorced, married, single, widowed, bullied in school, were a bully in school, white collar, blue collar, unemployed, own a company, or in any other category by which you have been defined or define yourself?
You belong.
We believe that all humans are loved by the Maker. We believe that we are called to do the same. Our vision is uniquely Christian as we work with open minds and open hearts to learn together from what unites and what makes us unique as we seek the God of All Grace together.

Worship at Re:imago may be a bit different than what you have experienced before (or not - we don’t want to limit your story!). Re:imago is a contemplative space where open-mindedness and grace actually matter. As a contemplative space, we embrace the idea that worship is liturgy, that is the work of the people. Each time we are together, various members of our community of all ages will lead in reading, praying, speaking, and more. We think God speaks most clearly through a multitude of voices.
Additionally, our worship services will provide space for silence and prayer. We believe that worship is something in which we are all called to participate, not a spectator sport. At first, this shift in worship style may feel strange, but in our experience, the rhythm of this type of communal life creates the spaces we need in order to see God at work in the world. We hope to leave our time together transformed, more capable of feeling God’s love in our own lives and carrying God’s love out into the world around us.
We want every practice we undertake to be informed by the idea that God is alive and at work in the world. We believe that a faith that is alive and intentional will produce health because God is Truth and is the Great Healer. We do not come together to go through the motions, but because we long for our Loving God to heal us from that which separates us from God and one another.
